This is nothing but my own opinion but as long as he is practicing with the team and taking contact I think it is a matter of another week or so. I assume the minute he is not taking contact then the media will let us know immediately.
It was mentioned above that they likely want to get his conditioning etc. up to as close to 100% game play ready as possible and this makes sense to me. I also recall that the Pens schedule kept them from practicing with Crosby for a good stretch so could see this being part of the delay.
Again, just my thoughts but I would expect to see him soon (and no, I do not own him in any league, his return will only hurt me!).
