Default 2011 DobberHockey Hall of Fame - Forum Inductee

    Good'day Dobberites!

As the title states, DobberHockey is looking for its next Forum Inductee.

If you haven't checked out the Hall of Fame, click here.

Keeping it short and to the point, we want you to vote in the next deserving forum legend.

Only one rule : it cannot be Shoeless, the man who undoubtedly deserved to take the crown last year.

Open until this Sunday September 17th at Noon Eastern time - you are invited to share with us who you feel should be the next Forum Inductee into the DobberHockey Hall of Fame. In addition, feel free to submit several reasons why that member is worthy of the honor.

    Looking forward to your answers!

    Best,

"FIRST" forum inductee, to be more accurate

Shoeless was added as a "builder", so he's already in

I want to add some thoughts as well. The boards started in February of 2007, so I don't want to forget the early "pioneers". I also want emphasis on helping people/answer questions.

Dean Youngblood is a future Hall of Famer, no doubt in my mind. But he is a "builder". A lot of his posts are more of the "reporting" variety, plus he is a columnist now. I hate disqualifying him from this "forum" category, but I kinda am. I have a builder in mind for this year, so Deano will be this year's Alexander Mogilny - as in he'll have to wait another year or two for his day

I really want to stress the "help" and "reply to newbies" and "maintain maturity and integrity" aspect of this category. The unsung heroes who offer little in the way of reporting/writing columns...but so much in the way of helping out newcomers, weighing in on fantasy issues.

Any kind of specific criteria? If shoeless is eligible again he gets a vote haha.

DY is possibly the next name that pops into mind.

I vote Dean Youngblood ( Brendan)

What he brings to the table so to speak is so valuable to everyone here. His knowledge, insight, all the work he does with the prospects. He shows constant class to all members. He brings A+ material constantly. I can elaborate quite a bit more , but in short Dean Youngblood is my nomination.

Yeesh there are so many people on these boards that would get my vote..

My vote is for Youngblood. The amount of work he puts in around here to keep everyone up to date on the Juniors and such is incredible and he's always available for help.

Doesn't really need much more explaining than that.

    I say myself!

Kidding, I would also put my support behind Youngblood, he goes above and beyond foe this site and that is all that really matters, plus he was my line mate in minor hockey!

As mentioned above, Shoeless is at the very top of the HoF, nothing is more prestigious than being the very first inductee.

No specific criteria but Dean Youngblood is a great start.

My vote goes to Tim "DubAllStar" Lucarelli.

He has quickly climbed up the Dobber class. From being a regular member who is always polite, candid, supportive, and informative to winning a spot as a forum writer, then getting promoted to a regular contributor on the front page, owning the East, and being included in the Guide.

Although he has been a regular contributor in the forums, his rise as a writer has been all within a six month span. His articles are informative, highly researched and detailed, without slanting his opinion but rather allowing you to make your own evaluations on the topics.

I'm going to go off the board a bit here and nominate JHM.

I'm not one for words but he is one of maybe 2 or 3 people who can end any help thread with their response. Reason being that after JHM gives his analysis, there is no need for anyone else to answer.

Even a simple A or B question gets put through the JHM process and immediately transforms your team into a different group and brings up all sorts of other moves that can be made.

That's my vote, but it should be noted that I have the utmost respect for Dean and would support that bid as well.

I fully support Dean as the nominee, a fantastic choice. His OHL coverage is off the charts, and he's always helpful.

2 other guys that I'd put up as considerations are MD26 and fungchen3. Both of these guys have been around for quite a while, and contribute so much to this community.

    I go for mister_mcgoo.

Whenever I see the Rocket avatar, I know something helpful, well-thought is coming underway. But IMO, all these 3000+ posts members all deserve to be inducted as they've share input, made thousands more comparisons. To separate one from another is a hard task.

Edit: I just noticed your valuable 2560 posts is under the 3000 suggested. That number was brought up randomly and wasn't intended to exclude valuable members I hope no offense is taken

    Nevertheless, mister_mcgoo gets my vote.

There are so many deserving forum members, but if I had to vote for one only, it must be Dean Youngblood because he works so hard on this site replying to posts regularly, writing articles, tweeting, and constantly feeding us valuable prospect information. I very much look forward to his regular CHL pieces on this forum.
