    Default Keeper help/advice

    Team in sig (positions count).

    I can keep 14 + 3 prospects.

So far the list looks like:

    C
    Backstrom (WSH), Thorton, Roy, Ribero,

    LW
    Vanik, Parise,

    RW
    Stewart, Mueller

    D
    Whitney, Keith, Edler

    G
    Halak, Hiller.

This leaves me with 1 keeper spots and 3 prospect spots to choose from the rest of the list. (My thoughts are Markov, Carlson, McBain and Hamonic?)

    Any advice would be welcome.

I don't see anything that I would change from your keeper list...I don't know if some might choose Frolik over Mueller, but I'm not really that high on Frolik so that isn't that big a deal to me.

Sucks that you have to let guys like Holtby and Elliott go but if you're looking for immediate production then Carlson McBain and Hamonic are great options, especially given your scoring cats

Perron as of right now is a lemon so dont' see the need to keep him. Gonchar should be easy to re-draft if you really want him, Clitsome - jury is still out if he's a one-hit wonder IMO. Johansson is meh and you're strong at C.

Welcome to the boards scottyg3! I like your list except I'd switch Elliott with Hamonic. You simply can't compare their upsides and Elliott is a consensus top notch offensive D prospect while Hamonic is more of a Brent Seabrook type.

I have to respectfully disagree about keeping Elliott over Hamonic. The league counts Blk, Hit, PIM giving a guy like Hamonic some serious value. At this point Elliott hasn't even played an NHL game.

I know Elliott is supposedly one of the best defensive prospects out there right now but Hamonic definitely contributes more in the short-term and still contributes long-term as well.

Last season: 62 games and he recorded 26 points, was a +4 on the Islanders, 103 PIM and 118 Blks, Hits, and SOG. If he can build on that he'll be a stud in this format.
