Grab him while he is not taken. The Panthers want to develop their prospects the right way so expect Markstrom to ripe one more season in the AHl season seeing plenty of time. Plante might be the one to stay as a backup.

Honestly i was a little fed up with him over the last seasons untill later last season i thought of him as a potential bust , but what i´m seeing now is looking way better and he has really good work ethic. His offensive game is nothing special but his awareness is not too shaby he will get some points mainly assists, he is no pure defensive guy. In the long run he should be a second pairing d-men that gets his share of points. Little hesitant to give up a proper pointprediction but 25 maybe even 30 is something he def. can do.Originally Posted by TML

Colby Robak was sent down by the Panthers today.
Steven Reinprecht and Michael Repik were put on waivers. The Panthers are expecting Repik to get claimed.

Panthers lost again this time 3-4 in overtime vs. Dallas.
But this time it was completly diffrent Panthers outclassed Dallas for most of the game and outshot them 26-3 in the third period. Tyler Plante had one of the worst showings i´ve ever seen of a goalie.
Huberdeau, Kulikov and Flash scored for the Kittens.
The good:
Flash: Was the best player in ice, awesome goal, really really creative.
Versteeg: Completly destroyed Goligoski in a fight and was very noticable on ice.
Kopecky: Guy is a pest, he was everywere getting under the Stars skins.
Huberdeau: What more to be said it´s really tough to keep him out of the league with how good he already is.
Matthias: Had a really great game, fighted a lot and tried everything.
Skille: See Matthias.
Kulikov/Campbell: Same as the lasts games both were rock solid.
Markstrom: Played the first half and saved 10/10. Nothing spectacular but he looked good.
The Bad:
Jovo: Again not a really good game, locks a lil sloppy.
Kennedy: Not a good game for him was boarded from a Star player. Not his fault but this game hurt his chances.
Plante: Oh man... i don´t want to talk about it.
Overall the race for the fourth line spots is still open. On the Top six battle the two guys on the losing side so far are def. Booth and Upshall everyone else looked rock solid.
Battle for the sixt defenseman goes to Ellerby by a landslide so far.
On a side note Repik and Reinprecht passed waivers and are assigned to SA.

Mike Santorelli got injured in the Dallas game on the the shoulder. He is likley to miss until Halloween.
This helps Matthias and Kennedy at least for now and hurts Dadonov who had amazing chemistry with Mike.

Oh well it was not his first bad showing so far. I´m really afraid of the start of the season.lt either will be hell or Markstrom will be in net sooner than expected. Not sure if it´s a good thing.

Eric is in a tough spot right now with Jovo and Campbell brought in an Ellerby finally emerging. The farm is pretty stacked with Robak and Petrovic as well but in the long haul his reputation of a former 3rd overall and his undeniable talent will win him a spot in that top two line within the next two years. The one thing i liked what i´ve seen from him this preseason was actually his offensive game, he looks a lot more focused there than on D. His shot is dangerous and he is starting to learn to dish the puck better. Overall he is not as talented offensivly as Kulikov and think he will be a great two- way defender. For a points only pool 40 is what i would calculate with everything else would be a bonus.

Not sold on what TLucarelli writes with Upshall being a lock in the Top six. I´d still expect Lil Geno there instead of him.

Seems like Tim was right. Dadonov had no linemates in the last practice.
