My worst trade was last summer before Halak was moved. I traded Price, Kessel, and a 1st rounder for Nabokov and Frolik.

One year ago, I had Price and Rask on my team. I figured to win with Rask (he was fantastic the year before), so I tradded Price for Del Zotto to upgrade my D. You know the result after that.

Not really a trade but not keeping Enstrom 2 years ago (first year - pre-Dobber) over the likes of Umberger, Coburn, Spacek and LeClair. The move I regret the most.

You might be the current leader on this thread with that one, but Bernie67 is also pretty close behind you.

Did anyone have a bad trade involving trading out the twins for a bad player for the sole reason that you hate Vancouver?

    I don't make bad trades..

I think my most recent one was dealing Sidney Crosby for Bobby Ryan and Tyler Seguin.

( I had the Crosby injury jitters)

I'm usually so bad at making trades. But I think the worst one I made was with Kovalev with Steve Ott.

Never a good thing to make a trade based on fan-feelings...

Wanted to sell high on Tim Thomas and was frustrated with the Henrik Sedin (not as useful in our league) and traded them for Jaro Halak, Chris Stewart and Alex Burrows. I love all the players I got but I still think I should have kept Timtom and Henke, also because I can't even keep Burrows...
I sure hope though my Blues will show a strong season...that may change my ill feelings

At the beginning of the 09/10 season, in my one-year roto league I was looking to upgrade my goal scorers and SOG, and I had plenty of playmakers, so I made this offer (yes I offered):

    My H. Sedin for
    His O. Jokinen

Thought Jokinen would bounce back to 30-35 goals/60-65 points with plenty of SOG and Sedin was coming off a 22 goal, 82 point season and figured he'd remain there. I had accepted that Sedin would get more points but being mostly assists I wasn't too concerned about it.

    Result:

Jokinen: 11 goals, 35 points in 56 games before being dealt to the Rangers, where he still struggled.
    Sedin: 29 goals, 112 points.

Ouch. Probably my worst trade ever. Lesson learned - even if Sedin stayed around the PPG, I know I gave up far too much steady, reliable production for 'hopeful' production. I believe I'm smarter now.
