Anyone got the inside scoop in this kid?
I drafted him in my prospect draft last year (he went 30th overall NYI).
Wondering if I should hold on to him for a few years.
Had a decent rookie year in NCAA (according to the stats).
He's not mentioned in Dobber's fantasy prospects report (probabaly because NYI is full of prospects).
    Thoughts?

The freshman has produced only modest numbers but flashes of his skill and strength have become more common as the season has progressed. Playing on a very strong University of North Dakota side, Nelson has been behind seniors Brett Hextall and Brad Malone and sophomore sensation Corban Knight for ice time yet still managed seven goals and 19 points in 38 games, eclipsing the scoring pace of Knight as a freshman. Standing at 6’3 and very strong on faceoffs, Nelson has time to grow into his frame and allow his game to develop at a modest pace.

Don't have any inside scoop... he's a promising prospect but he's a bit of a power forward and thus will take longer to develop then others. He's got promise but is a fair ways off.

I think he'll take a significant step forward this year at UND.

I also drafted Brock. IMO he has a big bust potential but he is an interesting prospect. His high school numbers were mind boggling but it was only US high school hockey. IMO he is a player that has a lot of tools but ended up with a stunted development compared to other players with his potential at his age. I don't recall him having an outstanding WJC. I'm not sure if he'll find an NHL level game he'll need to improve a good deal this year on last season.
