Random thoughts. Did he sign 1 yr to win a cup and try ti get a longer contract next year. Or is this his last year in north America then back to Europe? I think he will stay but where will he go?

I see no reason why he would want to leave Washington, nor any reason why Washington would want to part ways. Unless Neuvirth lights it up and steals the job, I think Vokoun will be the starter in Washington for the next 3-4 years.

I have Vokoun and have thought about this question many times. If you look at the teams in need of a goalie next season based on the potential of losing their #1 to FA there are four teams:

    1. Washington - Vokoun may re sign or Neuvirth takes over
    2. Nashville - Rinne re ups with the Preds
    3. Tampa Bay - Roloson is done after this year
    4. New Jersey - Brodeur re ups with the Devils...but maybe not?

Based on these assumptions I say Vokoun will be playing for the Caps, Lightning, or Devils at this point next year with a small chance of another team with suspect goaltending ie. Oilers/Coyotes making a pitch for his services. I would put the odds of Vokoun not playing in the NHL next year at .1%
    12 team points only keeper (G = 1, A = 1, W = 2, SO = 2)
Dress 6 forwards, 4 defensemen, 2 goalies, weekly starts
    Roster limit - 20 plus 4 prospects
