New York Islanders general manager Lou Lamoriello said Thursday forward Josh Ho-Sang has requested a trade through his agent.
Lamoriello said the Islanders told the 23-year-old not to report to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers while the team attempts to meet his request. If the team cannot find a trade partner, Lamoriello said Ho-Sang will report to the AHL club.

The team told him not to report. Relax a little. The “used puck bag” trade would have been someone claiming him off waivers. Edmonton seemed a likely destination if they trade away a contract at the same time. But they now have a D injury issue as well.

Playing mostly with junk players. His overall numbers are actually pretty good for the limited time he's been given. He obviously isn't making things easy on himself but I honestly think the Islanders have done a piss poor job with him also.

Josh Ho-Sang, though, is the real prize. Finding guys who weren't given the large minutes their small minutes deserved, for irrelevant reasons, that's what the waiver wire is for.

fwiw , if Beauviller is laying in the weeds in your 12 team sized leagues he's worth a pick up . It looks like the game has slowed down enough for him to start becoming more effective in all 3 zones . He was on one of the PP units as well
