I'm assuming you are wondering why he's allowed to play for B'port while not technically quallified to play in the AHL this year.

must be a CBA loophole that allows for a conditioning stint of X amount of days.

It's for a maximum of 2 weeks. He's playing today for Bridgeport.

Also, DiPietro will be in net again. Not to worry, Montoya owners. DiPietro will be hurt soon.

From what I'm hearing, only goaltender move #Isles are working on is an agreement to send prospect Mikko Koskinen to Europe. No trades.

Anything you can say about Hamonic? Still getting some PP time? Think points are coming?

If Rangers fans can call for Avery to play... Is it too much for Isle fans to ask for the/their best goalie to play?

He's playing lots of minutes but only 2nd PP unit. 1st unit has Streit and Rolston on the points. I never really thought of Hamonic as that offensive of a dman, he's more of a multi-cat player, with PIM and Hits being his strength. He'll probably eventually settle in around 30 points, 80-100 PIM and 150-ish Hits. He might get 25-30 points this year, but it certainly doesn't look that way right now. He and fellow d-man Andrew MacDonald are both in an offensive funk so far, each having just 1 point. Too soon to give up on him but again don't expect more than 30 points from him.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

I was hoping for 25+. Right now, he's giving next to nothing. Thanks for the response. I'll wait and see.

Evgeni Nabokov will gladly report to any #NHL team planning to have him as one of 2 goalies this season.

Nabokov in net tonight against the Rangers.

Nino will play tonight but Capuano hasn't committed him to a line (as far as I can find info).

Tavares has done very well against the Rangers, going back to last year. In their last meething this year, he had 4 points. I have a feeling this is gonna be a high-scoring affair. Tavares gets 3 points.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Was at the Habs/Isles game last night.

See the Canadiens thread for thoughts on the Habs.

On the Islanders, a few comments:

    - Tavares is soooo good. Made a little ONE-HANDED backhand pass to Moulson that ended up in the net when Moulson's weak shot was deflected by Subban. Then he capitalized on a bobble at the redline along the far boards and BLEW BY the defenseman (I think it was Gorges or Diaz) to get a semi-break.

    - Nielsen is such a good two-way player.

    - Grabner remains dangerous, I really think Okposo will come back from these couple of scratches highly motivated and that line with Nielsen/Grabner will start to produce nicely.

    - Streit is such a valuable player, controls the play at both ends and CALMS THINGS DOWN, which for a young team is so critical. Great choice as team captain.

    - Hamonic is developing nicely, great size and poise.
