Omg that’s ugly. Why in hell do these coaches keep trying to resurrect freakin Parise by giving him top 6 mins? Put him on the 3rd line where he belongs and give kids a chance. Palmieri ain’t much better.

Bad news for us Lee owners, but at least he’ll be on PP1 UNLESS THEY DECIDE PARISE IS OWED THAT TOO!!! LOL

I disagree, to an extent, Lee thrived on L2 with Nelson. Nelson plays a more straightforward game which seems to work in Lee's favor.

It’s a good point. But haven’t they typically played Lee with Barzal?

And in any event, my post was more about Parise getting top 6 mins, any thoughts there? I can see Palmieri but both him and Parise?!?

#isles waive former 2016 first-round pick, Kieffer Bellows. Bellows is not waiver-protected and has the possibility of being claimed.
I am surprised to see this. $1.2M for this year and still restricted after that. I expect someone to pick him up but we'll see.

keep an eye out for Hudson Fasching in deeper leagues . He's been fitting in well up and down the lineup and now that Wahlstrom is out he might get a look on Barzals line with Bailey .

With Wahlstrom and Simon Holmstrom out they might keep Raty up centering 4th line while Cizikas plays wing - not sure if surpassing the 9 game mark engaging his 1st year ELC is a concern for Lou .

Wotherspoon recalled after Salo had a rough outing . He has looked solid playing with Pulock

    just thought I'd share

Andrew Gross , isles beat writer believes Lou was extended x 3 years (article is paywall , so no point in linking)

Friedman on 32 thoughts believes they are hiring someone for the business end , fmr NHL COO John Collins .

Oliver Wahlstrom was noncommittal on whether he’ll be back next season. Asked whether he wants to be, he said “We’ll see.”
Is he done on Long Island? Is he done in the NHL?

There was a 30 or so day period in which Wahlstrom was the best player on the ice for the Isles (Trotz was still the coach) . He got injured (not the major knee injury) and couldnt find his way back into the lineup again . I wish I could package some of the nice plays and generally good hockey he played during that 30 day period as evidence in a video . I really thought the Isles had a good power forward on their hands .

where do we go from here ; no idea Axe -but that 30 day period I mention was quite awhile ago and he's had a major knee injury since then .

old news by now but the Isles signed Maxim Tsyplakov

    https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/new-york-isla...deal-1.2121911

The 25-year-old finished fourth in the KHL in goals last season, scoring 31 and adding 16 assists for 47 points in 65 games with the Moscow Spartak.

His 145 hits in 2023-24 also ranked third among KHL forwards and sixth amongst all KHL skaters.

Barzal , Pelech (heard it was broken jaw) 4-6 weeks & who knows how much time Reilly needs to recover from a very likely bad concussion

Romanov missed a few games earlier in the week and left the game v.s Buffalo friday only to ask trainers to let him back due to Pelech and Reilly getting hurt .

Friedman stated the isles are shopping for D on HNIC intermission
