Agreed, I've been saying all along (especially to my very panicked Isles friend) that I expect JT to re-sign. Lou always has a plan

I really hope J.T. Heads over to NJ. I really like the thought of JT and Hall working together. Who knows. But the Isles don't deserve JT (Fan's do... but the management has really poorly managed this super star).

Sources outside the organization told The Athletic that Snow tried to hire former Kings GM Dean Lombardi for a VP/advisory role in the past 18 months but it never materialized.

sounds like isles added their capologist

''The New York Islanders President and General Manager Lou Lamoriello announced today that Steve Pellegrini has been named Assistant General Manager. He will work alongside current Assistant General Manager Chris Lamoriello. ''

So they hire Trotz, it sounds like they're closing in on JT as well:

Also, not a done deal, and still a fluid situation, but sounds like Isles may have good news on John Tavares as well.

the good thing about that tweet about JT from Andrew Gross is (in terms of JT resigning soon) is that he wouldnt put his reputation on the line by making shit up as he's the teams official beat writer for newsday .

that would be a pretty big ball drop on his part if it fell through

He retweeted an interesting one around the same time... that Lou likely would not have taken the job if he thought Tavares wasn't going to re-sign. Interesting comment as it's Tavares perhaps influenced Lou to join the Isles and Lou isn't really influencing shit with JT.
