What the hell is wrong with Fowler? No points in first 5 games, despite still getting top PP time.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Smith Pelley it really depends on if the Ducks go with all youth or if they try to trade up for better top 6-ers. DSP is a 2nd/3rd liner who's all around game is worth more than the points he could potentially put up. If he lands on the 2nd line in an offensive role I could see Wayne Simmonds type numbers, if he lands on the 3rd line in a grinding role probably no more than 30ish points.

As for Fowler he's not getting shots through on the powerplay and the powerplay in general isn't looking that great I remember they scored like their first pp goal after their 14th try or something like that. He's still a silky smooth skater and making great plays, I would expect some points to come soon.

Beauchemin rocked Fisher, completely clean hit but got a penalty on the play. Shoulder to shoulder, head not point of contact. but ref "evened" it up by giving nashville a double minor for roughing. Beleskey got promoted to the top line with Perry and Getzlaf, Maroon a healthy scratch. DSP gets back into the lineup after being out 2 games with the flu, he's on the 4th line. Otherwise no other changes though Foster seems to be playing with Fowler now.

Ducks let in a sloppy one early, otherwise it's been an "okay" game. I didn't see the fight by Parros as I was away from the television for a bit. Ducks need to get more pucks on the net. Sloppy defense on the 2nd goal as well, not really Hiller's fault.

    – Through 14 games, the Ducks have scored only 27 goals, which ranks 29th among the NHL’s 30 teams. Only the New York Islanders have fewer goals (23 in 11 games).
“You can’t win in the pee-wee level with that,” Selanne said. “You gotta raise that…that’s bad.”
Beyond Selanne, Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry and Bobby Ryan, the Ducks have received only three other goals from their forwards. Saku Koivu, Andrew Cogliano and Maxime Macenauer have scored one apiece.
Asked if all the zeroes could start weighing the Ducks’ younger players, Getzlaf said that shouldn’t be the case.

The Ducks, other than a quick trip to Phoenix, will spend the next month in Southern California.
So this is the time for them to figure out what’s wrong, correct it and put their season back on the right path.
Asked who’s responsibility it is to make this right, Teemu Selanne was blunt.
“It’s everybody’s, everybody’s,” he said. “It starts from the top, with the top guys. We all know we can be better. I don’t think we’ve been at our level yet, so that’s a good thing.”
Selanne also said the Ducks need to restore their confidence.

Lets hope they do, by the way Jeff has asked me to help him with the Ducks, I hope you find my posts helpful.
    Glad to help Jeff.

    Default Getzlav taunts Tootoo

ANAHEIM — Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf fired off his first serve at Nashville’s Jordin Tootoo last month and then let go another sharp volley at the Predators’ pest on Tuesday.
A day later, Tootoo — and Predators coach Barry Trotz — sent a return shot in Getzlaf’s direction.
Responding to Getzlaf’s comments Tuesday that he never dives or embellishes hits after accusing Tootoo of doing so in an Oct. 29 loss to the Predators, the Predators’ rugged winger said his job is to get under the skin of the other team’s top players.
“When you have their top guys off their game, mentally, they’re frustrated and bad things tend to happen when you’re frustrated like that,” Tootoo told The Tennesseean. “For me personally I know I’m doing my job, and I’m definitely going to bring that tonight.”

Another disappointing loss 4-2. The same ole story got behind by 2 and lose by two.
