Kesler not playing tonight. He did get knee-on-knee'd by Allen the other day, might be lingering effects, might be nothing.

so whats the "expectation" on the goalies?

I drafted Andersen with my last pick and people laughed at me cause they said Gibson (the man with 3 games under his name) is the starter.

did I **** up, or is Andersen starter on day 1??

Anyone know if Getzlaf is getting back into the line up for tomorrow's game? I need to pull him off the IR ASAP if he is. Any help would be a huge help!

Congrats to all Ducks fans for your victory and for taking down the Jets in 4 straight.. Sad to see the Jets ousted so quickly, but those 4 games sure were entertaining!! Goodluck in the 2nd round!!

I'm thinking about starting a Ducks blog since I live out here and have season seats and follow the team. Here are some of my thoughts.

3 Game 7's in a row (two straight blowouts). They need a new leadership core, not necessarily the coach. Boudreau rallied the guys in the third period so many times this season, I'm sure he had a speech before Game 7, but the rest of that has to come from the players in the room. That is what they do as kids, playing in their backyards in a Game 7 situation. They should be the ones getting themselves up for the game. Give Kesler the 'A' over Perry for next season.

Let Matt Beleskey walk. Fans love him, but the dude finished 9th on the team in points. No way do I want to pay him 5-6 million a year when Silfverberg and Etem(although I think he gets dealt) are RFAs this summer and next summer consists of re-signing Lindholm, Vatanen, Kesler, Andersen, and Gibson. Please save the money Murray. He also had his career 22 goals in a contract year and when he started playing with Kesler. The Ducks have a ton of guys who can fill in that spot: Etem, Ritchie, Sekac, Noesen, Friberg

Beauchemin is either staying or retiring. I think he does what Teemu did and signs 1 year contracts until he officially calls it quits.

Re-sign Silfverberg to a 6 year deal at 30 million. Kesler said he loves playing with him and they had a great playoff season together.

Sign Etem to a bridge contract and try him out in Beleksey's spot. If that doesn't work out, he gets traded.

I'd like to re-sign Fleischmann, he was a great utility guy after being acquired. Looked good with Getzy and Perry, looked good with Kesler and Silf, played wing on that fourth line and center when Thompson was hurt, kills penalties. I'd take him on a 1 or 2 year contract for 1.5 million

Silfverberg won't get that kind of money. He will most likely get a bridge deal at 2-3 million.

He signed a 1 year contract last year and I am sure the Ducks don't want to re-sign him for only 2 years (3 would make him a UFA). I see them doing a 5-6 year deal around 5 mill. It would be cheaper to go the 2 year route, but in the long run I think it would be cheaper, just my thoughts.

I just don't see him making $5 million unless the cap goes up big time. If they go longer term it would probably be 3.5-4. Just throwing a random similar player out there, Joel Ward signed for 4 years $3 million starting 11/12. So we can bump that up to 4 for Silfverberg in today's climate. He has to show Top 6 worth for more than a season (or less), in my opinion. We'll see what happens!

I think Fleischmann was worthless, and I would let him walk. Beleskey I would also let walk, unless he doesn't demand that much. Silfverberg is not signing for $5M/yr, McNabb will get a better contract then that.

BB's attitude after the loss was very alarming. He acted like the Ducks didn't do anything wrong and that's it. Yes, they did everything wrong. They came out flat, and they continued to stay flat, and did not even give themselves a chance. Pretty pathetic that he couldn't admit that.

Beauchemin will re-sign an "i'm retiring here" contract unless he demands too much money, in which case the Ducks will let him walk (again.)

One of Wizniewski or Stoner I do not expect to be around as I expect Manson to be in the NHL next year.

I would look to trade Palmieri for an upgrade on wing, and I hope Etem finds some usefulness. The Ducks are clearly outmatched by speed teams and having him and Cogliano would combat that in a small way.

The Ducks won't move on from Boudreau this year because who's out there that is better? If he has another miserable loss in the playoffs (or doesn't even get there) then I expect him to be canned.

Ducks need a top 6 left-winger who is a potential game breaker and fast. Maroon is too slow to fit their long term (though he will do well in spurts).

I might try and contribute more as I have a stable job where I get off at 5PM now, rather than the sporadic one I'm used to.

I expect the defense to look a lot better next year (Despres is such an upgrade on Lovejoy)

    Fowler - Despres
    Lindholm - Beauchemin/Vatanen
    Stoner - Beauchemin/Vatanen
    Manson

Theodore as the first call up.

    xx - Getzlaf - Perry
    Sekac - Kesler - Silfverberg
    Cogliano - Thompson - Etem
    Maroon - Rakell - xx
