They may not make playoffs, but They finished 12th in the East last year and will be an improved team. The biggest question will be the consistency of their goaltending. Pavelec AND Mason were horrible from mid-February on last year. They're definitelyy better than Florida, and IMO no worse than the rest of the mediocre teams in the East (Carolina, Ottawa, Toronto, NYI, NJ).

It's a solid depth move, but that at the most. He's never really done anything special in his injury prone career for me to think otherwise. Yes he was burried in Washington, so maybe he will get more of an opportunity in Winnipeg. I'm not sure where he fits in because I don't think he should get second line minutes.

One of the worst kept secrets this summer, TSN and the Jets have officially signed a deal. They will show 60 games on a new part time TSN JETS channel Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Northern Ontario, Nunavut and the Northwest Territories. They also will broadcast all 82 games on TSN 1290 radio.
Screw center ice, all I need to get now is TSN Jets. Finally living in the north pays off! This made my month.....now just release those goddamn jerseys already!
