Well that was a terrible third period. Jets played so well all game long and just blew it in the third. I liked the effort early on, but they weren't able to sustain it for a full 60 minutes. Obviously, Boston did something during intermission that sparked them to just completely outplay the Jets in that third period.

Wheeler scored again and now leads the Jets in points.

Enstrom and Bogosian both had 2 assists each.

Ladd scored a goal and now has 14 on the year.

Fehr scored his first goal as a Winnipeg Jet.

Overall, the road trip wasa failure as the Jets went 1-3. Now it's back home beginning on Thursday night.

Glass and Bogosian left the game early. (Did either appear later? I was multi-tasking...)

I just figure that most teams have another gear that the Jets don't possess, the Bruins especially. I'm never surprised when quality opponents pull away late in the game...

I wish it weren't true, but there it is.

Bogosian left the game and didn't return. Lower body injury they were calling it.

Glass left after he got hit with a high stick and didn't return.

I didn't see Bogosian's LBI, but Glass just had the bad luck to hit the glass when there was a stick between it and his face. He was bleeding a bunch, but no penalty called, and rightly so.

So...has Antropov completely disappeared, or just on the scoresheet?

Good question. Minus 1 in 16:02, but I didn't notice him once.

The line shuffling is just all over the place. Antropov was doing great with Burmistrov, then Noel had this thought that Burmi is a 4th liner, and Stapleton a 1st liner. I've hated Stapleton for two years now, and Noel isn't making it any better. I cannot stand the fact that Stapleton, an AHL for life player, is seeing minutes.

Hopefully Burmistrov is back for tomorrow along with Byfuglien, and hopefully the right lines are made.

Any recent insight on Byfuglien's injury? Any timetable?

Checked my usual slew of Jets blogs and newspaper beats and can't find a thing. Closest is this nice Arctic Ice blog post evaluating the first half for each player and which indicates "with Byfuglien returning" in the poll at the end, but no detail as to whether it's just speculation or based on some inside knowledge: http://www.arcticicehockey.com/2012/...ets-mid-season

Coach Noel doesn't know when Big Buff is going to get back into the lineup. Not "day-to-day".

Bogosian is day-to-day and will miss tonight's game.

Glass and Burmistrov are game time decisions.

Jets just look plain out awful as of late. They lose again in an effortless performance on home ice against the Sharks by the score 2-0. They got outshot by a lot, and out performed in the 3rd again. I can't even remember a single grade A chance that the Jets had all game.

The line shuffling continues and I have to start questioning Noel. He comes out and bashes Kane after the game in Boston and demotes him for it, which was clearly a horrible decision. He promotes Ladd to the top line in this one. Ladd has looked awful as of late and including tonight with his stupid offensive zone penalties, I mean he's looked horrible lately... lets see what Noel does with him now.

Pavelec was the only bright spot. I refuse to blame or use injuries as an excuse for the play as of late. It would be nice to have Buff and Bogo back as soon as possible, but it's not the reason why we are sliding.

I don't understand why the Jets didn't really finish checks tonight. So many opportunities missed to take the body. Especially Antropoid.

Burmistrov did not have a good game tonight, with a couple of giveaways. Late in the game Noel threw Wellwood into Burmi's spot a couple of times.

And the crowd wasn't in it much tonight, but who can blame us?

Edit: At least Claude Noel is reading your posts - Stapleton a (healthy?) scratch tonight.

And appearantly, Kane is back with Little and Wheeler, while Ladd is back with Antropov and Wellwood, as that's how it is at practice today.

Noel had to realize he was wrong for that move that's why it only lasted one game, a game where 0 goals were scored.

No Buff or Bogo at practice.

    Thin on the blue line?

Paul Postma has been recalled after posting 27 points in 30 games in the AHL. Might not be a bad idea to pick him up if you are thin on the blue line especially since Byfuglien and Bogosian are still out.

Wheeler injured now. Another loss for the Jets. The offense just isn't producing as a whole right now. The defense is playing good though it is ridden with two key injuries. Pavelec remains a bright spot. I can't really recall any good scoring chances yet again. Even Ladd's goal was sort of flukey. Certainly, Brodeur should have saved it.

Well hey, I guess there is still time to "Fail for Nail"! or a new one I'll just make up on the spot... "Blow for Grigorenko"

We just don't have enough depth to consistently compete on a daily basis and our young stars aren't there yet to carry the team. How can they even progress with a coach like Noel? I'd like to see the right lines be made and not one that involves Stapleton on one of the top 2 lines. Stapleton and Fehr aren't capable NHLers, and Wellwood is nothing more than a 3rd liner with good hands. It was due time for Wellwood to come back down to earth. Outside of Kane, Wheeler, Little, Burmistrov, Ladd, and Antropov, there aren't any other offensive threats.
