I just realized now that Mueller missed last year with a concussion. Wow...nobody talked/cared about him, it seems.

Clearly it's because we're all heartless bastards who could care less about Mueller and not because Crosby has perhaps marginally more interest in the fantasy and real hockey world.

It appears Sidney Crosby's comeback is on hold. Sources tell us his concussion symptoms have returned. Tune into CTV for more details.

The local CTV station in Halifax is reporting that Sidney Crosby is unlikely to be ready for the start of #pens training camp.

I wouldn't believe anything you read about Crosby right now. CTV isn't necessarily the "hockey insider"

Crosby's agent Pat Brission has refuted the rumors and claims " Sidney hasn't been shut down by anyone"

Local news here in BC is reporting he has shut down his skating as symptoms have returned..... Apparently the news is coming from the Halifax rink he was using to train.

    Hoping this is bullshit!

Considering its been 9 months and they cannot even commit to him being at training camp, I'd say there are serious and legitimate concerns over his career. The only silver lining is that they are quite clearly being very cautious.

Sure. But TSN doesn't approve CTV's Sports stories. Anyways, I would be cautious about any Crosby news as reporters are simply looking for news during this dead time in hockey news.

They say pretty much the same thing, except try to put a good spin on it. He's not ready for camp right now, has not been cleared for contact and still has concussion symptoms. If that doesn't start the alarm bells, I don't know what would.

Alarm bells for the season, sure. But definitely not for his career. It is most likely not a concern in the long run due to his lack of past concussions and the rest time he will get.

Obviously Flyers fans hope he retires early har har.

Wasn't he concussed in Junior as well? I thought I heard that... Not sure.

There is a part of me that hopes he has to retire early, but that is a very small part. the Flyers have to beat the best to be the best. Also, from a hockey fan standpoint, seeing Crosby retire is a very sad thing. I hope he gets better, even though I traded him away in my dynasty league.

Even if I was a Flyers fan, I would never hope for him (or anyone) to retire early. Especially Crosby, as he's a generational talent and it only helps the sport grow with him leading the way over the next 10+ years.

From a fantasy perspective, I am ignoring all these rumours but the concern is still there for this coming season (I only play in one-year leagues). Let's just say I hope I don't have the second pick in the draft.

I also kinda wish the wife was a pornstar in bed, but its not like I actually want that forever... I say that I hope that, but I dont really mean it if you know what I mean.

Like I said, you have to beat the best to be the best. It would be much more satisfying to beat the Pens with Sid on the team. I hope he gets better. I'm a hockey fan more than anything else. I'd never want him to retire unless he was 40 years old.
