Yup that's angering me to be honest. I thought I could get a top D prospect with the 3rd overall prospect pick lol. Oh well!

My strategy was to only pick a "prospect" if he had a decent chance of playing the majority of 2011-12 with decent ice time. B.Schenn and Markstrom were about it...oh, Bernier only because I have Quick. Would have put them on the farm...but that was about it. I was on the fence about Johansen and Stefan Elliott.

Tarasenko was a reach, imo, you lose so much depth if you start grabbing player who are now still a year out.

    ...so I picked Radulov.

I've picked some young guys but haven't hit the prospect wall yet. Thought about it but decided not quite yet.

Still some good value out there in players.

Smith was a great pick IMO. I really like him and if Lidstrom does not come back... watch out.

I'm thinking about starting my run. Usually I would have made my prospect run earlier but I went young with some of my early picks.

I like the Johansen pick. I was targeting him.

Ok the biggest shocker of all was Shakedown picking Emerson Etem. I thought he would go like 4th round in the prospect draft!

I was surprised too but sometimes you just need to take guys you really want or you won't forgive yourself for missing out on them.
