i felt like i had to take marchand, young guys were going quick and i have really high expectations for that guy. to me he could be a poor mans kesler. i dont think he will ever reach the levels kesler hit next year but i think a 30-30 year wouldnt be that far of a stretch after this year and playing with seguin in the future. i missed the goalie boat and i wanted somebody reliable but still young enough to give me 4-5 years and i think backstrom was the best guy there.

to me right now i feel like the top 3 in my mind would be buffalo, van and hartford. i think all those teams have done an excellent job of balancing their teams. but now is where its really gonna make a difference with those players that are on the cusp of breaking out

I cant wait for the prospect draft either as I have the #2 pick. Love the speed of this draft. Guess now we are getting to the mop up roles of the draft and I loved the Kiprusoft comment LOL he was best of the goalies out there I felt considering Calgary rides him LOL. I will caution everyone just because the team looks good on paper or on a computer screen LOL doesnt always translate to the actual production. Looking forward to a geat year and a fun league

Man those thrashers look pretty good for a 28 team league...until you get down to D & G- and with a late pick in the prospect draft I'm not sure what my strategy is going to be yet. I think I have enough talent at F alone to help carry me and keep me in contention.

Prospect draft is pretty darn deep. Some holes will be filled for all teams. I know I have some friggin huge holes lol
