Canada won its Pre-World game versus the USA 2-1.

Daniel Catenacci (Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds) scored the winner and Brett Ritchie (Sarnia Sting) added a goal and an assist. Look for both of these players to play an important role for Team Canada throughout the Tournament. Malcolm Subban (G-Belleville Bulls) was very good in the win as he made 25 saves.

Team Canada will play two more exhibition games (Monday vs. Sweden and Tuesday vs. Germany) before the tournament starts on Thursday. Canada`s first preliminary game takes place on Friday versus Czech Republic (1:30 EST)
