Good moves by Sweeney at a good price! See how it plays over the next few weeks.
Yep gotta love it. They're right back in the hunt for the division now.

Just saw a headline on ESPN that said Rask wasn't 100% in the playoffs.
Second straight year he's said that. (Last year, mentally... this year, physically.)

Is that "writing on the wall"???
Could Boston go Swayman/Vladar as their goalies for next year?!?!
Open up a TON of cap space and try to build a 4-line team the way the Isles lined-up?

Rask has won everything, and he's very much a family man and his mental state in hockey is slipping towards done with the sport.

At 34yrs old, FA, and has made 61.5mill over his career...I can see him being done. He'll likely take take a while to sign if he is going to sign with a team.

How big of a series changer was Clutterbuck's charge on Brandon Carlo?

^Carlo being out for the Bruins was obviously huge. Doesn't everybody know that?
    Sort of weird comment.
    Why bring it up?
What relevance does that have to a Bruins thread?

I agree. I believe Rask would like to win one where he was the main guy. He's currently 0-2 as a starter in the Final losing to the Blackhawks and Blues. That stings even if you have a ring.

I think he comes back for 1-2 years at a lower cap hit. I dont think hes using his injuries as an excuse, he knows he wasnt good enough and there was an explanation rather him just being terrible (see Jarry)

Losing Carlo hurt but he was hurt for a large chunk of the season so this shouldnt be surprising.

B's should definitely try to keep both Hall and Krejci as well. but if they do, they may not have enough cap space to fit in more dmen that they probably need more.

I highly doubt Bruins go with Swayman and Vladar. Swayman + vet makes sense. Whether that's Rask, Halak or someone else... who knows?

Will be an interesting negotiation to bring Rask back. he wont get 7m. But considering hes going to miss 2-3 months, he can go on LTIR right away.

he did also say that maybe he does not recover well from surgery and that he just can't play. So that is a possibility for the Bruins to consider. Maybe another vet is signed to split with Swayman. It's going to be interesting to see how it develops.

The Bruins did not extend qualifying offers to restricted free agents Ondrej Kase and Nick Ritchie today making them free to sign with any team.
