Bruins gained some pretty decent depth players today in Nosek/Haula/Bonino but damn they are going to feel the loss of Kuraly. He might not be as well known outside of Boston as those guys but he was a true lunchbox Boston style player through and through. Sad to see him go for sure. Glad he got a good deal in his hometown of Columbus though. He deserves it!

DeBrusk has officially asked for a trade

    https://sports.yahoo.com/bruins-forw...230543888.html

I like Jake but he has never been a fit in Boston. Send him to San Jose for Evander Kane. The Bruins leadership should be able to keep him in line.

As many as 8 teams have already reached out about DeBrusk apparently.

Wouldn’t that be something eh. Don’t think I’d want the contract that comes with that player tho….

If SJS retains 50% of Kane's salary and move him in return for DeBrusk, the Bruins could fit Kane's salary easily, right? If they can keep Kane on his best behaviour the next 3 or 4 years maybe it's a good deal for Boston.

yes. jake debrusk makes 3.65m this season then is a RFA so if SJ retains 3.5m from ekane then itll work.

That being said, 3 years of ekane? i dont know man....
One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.

3 years of Evander Kane is scary. But yes, salary will definitely be partially retained.

I would only take Kane on a one year deal…

    And even then….

Actually I probably would not take Kane at all…

He’s away from the team and look how they’re doing. They’re supposed to be doormats but they don’t play like doormats right now.

For some reason when I looked at capfriendly yesterday I thought he was still making $5.25 not $7. So that is definitely a deterrent but no doubt that San Jose will retain salary in any deal.

I would take 3 years of Kane at anything below $5.5. He has his off ice issues but I really think with the guidance from an established group of vets like the Bruins core, he could right the ship.

Hell Marchand alone will be able to teach him how to be only a little bit of a douche some of the time instead of a full fledged douche canoe.

I agree. What he did (fake card) was stupid and selfish, but if an organization believes they can keep him under control then Kane at $3.5mil is a bargain imo. Even more so if a 3rd team is involved to eat more salary.

I think it's heavily rumoured a 3rd team will need to be involved in a trade. Likely stemming from the acquiring team would be able to bury him in the AHL if he becomes a cancer for little to no penalty.

I’m happy I don’t have anyone playing Boston this week, as they might be the next team to have their games postponed.

Bruins have placed Karson Kuhlman on waivers. I can’t imagine he clears, he’s a solid player.

Too bad, I’ve always liked the way he plays. Admittedly I haven’t seen him play much this year though.
