I suggest you get this posted in the ramblings both today and tomorrow, plus as a separate front page column. Given that the polls are open for a limited time, you want to ensure that everyone has a chance to vote. Many active members will come to this section, but the newer/less active members may not venture past the front page and ramblings. And the latter are the ones who will help grow the site and section in the future.

Love the whole process so far.

I did notice that you requested everyone to "go beyond the name and give the entry a hometown, a bio, color scheme etc... ".

Some of the contributors did provide interesting background stories, but these details aren't visible through the polling method. Seems a bit unfortunate.

great comment, some reasonable ways I can see that happen is if 1) voters are referred to the submitted entry thread, and 2) those who did have background information, like yours, post it in the respective Division Poll threads.

I will add number 1 (link) to all Division threads going forward.

Good idea on this but for future reference you need to modify the format a little bit. Good for a first go but polishing could help. (see all my replies to the votes)

I may have done things a certain way, like the seperation and classification of Divisions, that might not have been the most preferable choice, but overall I am very satistfied with the first round of the Contest.

Oh and there will be a little suprise heading into the Quarter Finals - one that is sure to please and put any concerns to rest

Very true! and we'll have to wait a little while more as the polls for E, F, G, H will stay open a longer than expected.
