Awesome stuff guys!
If the entries start to fade - I might start the brackets earlier than the Sunday Deadline.
We'll give it a few more days for the late bloomers.
I came up with a better logo.
The reason for the name Dobbers Showstoppers is simply the brilliance of all these writers on prospects and fantasy hockey, which we all can't get enough of! I've read many articles and reports on prospects from dobber contributors and I've been very impressed, they're showstoppers, enough said.
Why not have a Don Cherry picture?
"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken."
"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle."
Awesome stuff guys!

Great submissions so far. Love the idea, Gates (and particularly love the content we are getting from fresh faces around here).
The Barn is still the best name!
The Vaive's, the Lowe's
The Mario's,
From Farm to NHL

I've re-read the original post (and the additional info) like 3 times now and I still have no idea what GM Gates is talking about... but I suppose people are suggesting names for some feature that's dobber related...
How about: Avery's Accomplices
For those in the know, they'd understand the relationship to the site we've got with that title... for those that don't, they'd still think it was a cool title because of the reference to one of the most obnoxious characters in the league...
The graphic could be something simple/nondescript like THIS, or something more interesting like THIS or THIS, ooooor something hockey related like THIS.
The common theme in the pictures would be that you don't really know who will be next... or where the person/article ( or whatever the heck is going on) "called up" will come from...

In short - with this post, you have successfully posted in the DobberHockey Minors (a.k.a Farm) section.
--
Thing is, I want to minors to have a franchise name, because we are a team.
Our team contributes an article that has been and will be regularly posted on Wednesdays named "called up from the minors" (Dub, MetalDude, Dean Youngblood and myself have already been called up two or more times).
From this contest, a winner (franchise name) will be chosen. That Entry will become the face of the DobberHockey minors (the section you posted in).
I have big plans for the section, and having a brand is the first step. I may sound like I'm talking code, but just go with the flow and everything will be explained / presented in due time.

Oh... ok ... well cool then.
My submission was better than I'd ever expected.
What better a name for Dobber's "minor's" here on the site than Avery's Accomplices LOL? And for that matter... I'm sure that sean avery has a bunch more friends in the minors than he does in the NHL... so that would fit as well.
Anyways... good looking out Gates. =)

I'll throw my hat in the ring with a couple of suggestions (and partial sell job )
What's a better fantasy city then Shangri-La? A recognizable name that doesn't refer to a real city. The fact that it is a mysterious, harmonious utopia is only a bonus.
I like the Shangri-La Snuffalufagai as I think you could make a really cool symbol and of course the elements that make up the best teams can be hard to identify, but I'll go for Shangri-La Stanleys. I'm picturing a Stanley Cup centred in a mountainous motif, and isn't the whole point of this site to climb the fantasy mountain?
Something like this centred in a circular crest with an abstract mountains background.
If we're going to go for a more real world minor league sounding name, I'll suggest the Barren Springs Buried Treasure. The Buried Treasure are a new expansion team in VT. I liked the city name Barren Springs as it has that small town AHL type feel, and is also what we're trying to avoid in building our farm team. I'd picture a team crest based on a spilling, overflowing treasure chest canted somewhat to the side.
A variation of this could be the Boca Raton Buried Treasure, since Boca Raton is where the GM meetings are held, so where they get together to hash over the different issues of the day, but I like the first of the two better.
So, in summary, my two kicks at the can:
1. Shangri-La Stanleys
2. Barren Springs Buried Treasure
16 Team 4th Year H2H Yahoo! Keeper League, 2012 Champion
Keep 8 (Max 1 Goalie) + 2* (23 and under)

2LW,3C,2RW,3D,1U,2G,8BN,3IR
LW Landeskog*, C Tavares*,Getzlaf, RW Ovechkin,Malkin(C),Seguin*(C),D Subban,G Lundqvist, Lehner*
Draft - 1st,2 2nds, 2 3rds.
I don't have a creative name for you guys, but I really like what's going on here and want to give a big thumbs up!

Thanks for the support Angus & Dub!
So the deadline was originally set for Sunday the 27th, but if there are no new entries by 6:30PM East (24 Hours) I'll close it up and begin the brackets - rough estimate, we have a good 60-80 entries. That is plenty.

Yeah, I know I promised you something but honestly with all the solid entries I don't think it's entirely necessary for me to come up with one here.
When does voting commence?
