Cam Talbot vs. Matt Murray
For Team #2 in signature....
Currently own Cam Talbot and I'm pretty sure I can trade him straight up for Matt Murray. The opposing GM owns Murray and has made it clear he doesn't want him and I don't think he has received any other offers yet. He is an Oilers fan to boot. Is this a no brainer? Matt Murray obviously comes with big injury concerns but he is much younger and Talbot has been bad since last season. I'm thinking it is a trade I should make. Can anyone convince me otherwise?

I have a lot of questions about Murray but at the end of the day I think I'd have him ranked slightly above Talbot. Unfortunate if you can't get more since they're an Oilers fan, but I think I would do it.

The league is a 22 man (keep 16) if I read that correctly.
Talbot and the Oilers are on the edge of being a mess and Talbot is a UFA at the end of the season. Who knows what happens this season and who knows where Talbot will be playing next year. If you can get out of Talbot today and slide right into Matt Murray I think that this is a good move for both now and the future.

This is something people aren't talking about much. With the Oilers cap troubles, it could be interesting how they manage to keep him. I still don't get how a cap challenged team put that much into a backup from the KHL.Originally Posted by Moses

Came to right exactly this. the UFA thing is a big deal. I would take the certainty of Murray on a very good Pittsburgh squad.
