Second league in sig. I mentioned in another post that Johnson was available on the FA. We do have a limited amount of moves/year but it's not what I'd call small. That being said is it worth dropping Howard to snag Johnson whom I overlooked in our draft?

I wouldn't. Strength of the team is pretty much a wash, with Johnson coming out a bit ahead, but I think he only gets 25 starts to Howard's 35. For a bench goalie I'd much prefer someone more likely to start if they're not the handcuff for my #1 or 2.

I would stick with Howard. I think he's a better goalie, and Calgary don't have many b2bs so I think Elliott gets played a ton. I would also say I expect more of Elliott than Mrazek this year, leaving less for Johnson.

Howard... I like Johnson but his contract will keep him relevant, Johnson is relevant if Elliott gets injured (likely but not a guarantee)

I would take Johnson. He's the better goalie IMO, and will be able to perform better even if he does end up with less starts. You already have Holtby and Dubnyk, so you're not looking for volume.

Johnson will get you better GAA and SV%, while Howard will get your more SV. So which ever you prefer or think will give you an advantage combined with your goalies.
Personally I'd probably go Johnson in the end as Holtby and Dubnyk will play a ton so you only need occasional spot starts
