Offseason moves

Currently sitting with bishop/bob and my goalies. I love bishop but feel vas is breathing down his neck. I have tried to aquire vas but there is zero chance of this happening. Since the end of season I have let it be known I am looking for a goalie. Been offered quick but need to send T.johnson and Hedman for him. I can afford johnson as I have stamkos and kuch already. But is this too high or should I pull the trigger then ship bishop out?

Me personally, I might start looking for a replacement that comes in 1-2 seasons and is a starter for you. Markstrom just got a bump and Enroth might find his way into a situation where he sees starts. Might be worth exploring options on some other prospect goalies coming up in the ranks and then based upon your point system, building a group of skaters to make up the points difference.

Your scoring is VERY similar to the scoring I use in my Yahoo league. I won our Championship this season with Holtby and Bernier as my only two goalies once Kuemper became useless. At one point I had Jake Allen as well, but he wasn't blowing anyone out of the water. Instead, I built a team that maximized the points for skaters...I see a lot of that in your team too. Losing Hedman and TyJo for an avg regular season goalie (yes...Quick is avg) is a big hit.

Yeah, that's a very steep price for Quick. No way I'd part with T. Johnson and Hedman to acquire him. I might offer one of the two for Quick. But if you can start only two goalies per day, I wouldn't even make that offer. I can't see Bishop giving up that many starts to Vasilevskiy, at least not next season.

I might try to acquire Talbot, as long as you don't have to give up the moon for him. But I might look for a goaltending-rich team and see if you can acquire a goaltending prospect without having to give up too much.

On a side note: Are you still hanging onto Martin Brodeur?

I am a goalie guy. I would trade those two for Quick if goalie are very valuable and hard to acquire.

I don't have a firm grasp of goalies based on your set up but... my logic is as follows. You have to be in the top 4 of skater stats and the top 4 in goalie stats (in a 12 team league) to win it all. If you are not top four in both you are going to be beaten by someone who is. So... Does this deal help you towards that goal?

Nah, I have made some changes just haven't updated sig yet. Goalies are the most important position in this setup. It's a weekly start so a outright starter is gold. This the value of a goalie is very high. Any more opinions would be great! Thanks fellas.
