yes. The Ducks lost last night so there's a good chance they win tonight .
Back to back game for the ducks against one the most highly skilled offensive teams in the league...
Do you risk it?

historically and statistically the 2nd game of back to backs does not go well for goalies....I'm not sure we can assume ducks win just because they lost last night

I agree about playing Andersen (so I'll rep ya for that), but I am not a fan of your logic. Haha. Gambler's fallacy.
You have to start Anderson as ANA can put a donut up at any time.

Bold assumption. How do you know he's starting???
going with the odds on a back to back after a loss, could be wrong, but probably not

Interesting. I wonder if that is just a sampling effect. 7 seasons' worth of data says you are less likely to win on the second game of a B2B.

Need to use some perspective here. Any road game, b2b or not, you're less likely to win than if you were at home. We're talking 9/20 odds.
Make it b2b, and your chances only decrease to 8/20.
That's aggregate, so it includes teams that are bad, teams that are bad on the road, teams with bad goalies, teams that play their crappy back-up on the 2nd b2b, and teams that play the same goalie on both games of the b2b.
In other words, take out all of those things that don't apply to Anaheim right now (4-2-0 record on the road, playing their rested #1 goalie)... anyway I'd bet your win % bounces up a bit.
I came here to ask the same question as reggio. What scares me is not W%, but how many goals Dallas is capable of scoring for my GAA league.
Ev's theory/date makes which game it is irrelevant. It's based on a 50% theory, that teams are likely to win 1/2 games of a back to back. So if they win the first lose the second, lose the first win the second. It would be interesting to see how those stats change taking in to account the result of the first game. I assume we will see Ev's results eventually.
unless you have a games played maximum, you always roll your goalies.
I rather play goalies and get shelled, than not play them and punch myself because they post a shutout.
