Default Drop Clowe? Need hitter

Hey all,

So I think it's finally time to let him go. Thought after his slow start he'd warm up and help me for the playoffs but NO. So, who to drop him for...

League counts: Goals (G), Assists (A), Plus/Minus (+/-), Powerplay Points (PPP), Shorthanded Points (SHP), Game-Winning Goals (GWG), Shots on Goal (SOG), Hits (HIT), Blocks (BLK)

Looking for someone to replace his physicality. I have a lot of scoring, my weaknesses are hitting, blocks, +/- so looking for players on decent teams.

Options:
Doan
Ott
Matt Martin - altho he doesn't bring much else to the table and I already have Tavares and Streit
Neil
Brouwer
Stoll

Or...do I keep him and pray that some luck comes his way (unlikely)

Ott and Martin are the most consistent hitters, but in the last 2 weeks, Ott's been a lot more offensive and a lot less physical.

Doan has traditionally been a great physical asset, but his overall numbers this year aren't spectacular (if you are looking at recent stats, keep in mind a couple days ago he had a 11 SOG/13 hit night, which skews his overall numbers)

Neil gets decent SOG and hits pretty consistently.

If you want pure hits, I'd go Martin. A good combination of offense and hitting - Ott then Doan then Neil (I think Neil is hitting more)

All those guys are around the +1 to +5 area in the last month, 'cept Brouwer and Martin who are minuses

I would go with Ott first. Best combo of all stats. I also think he's been promoted to the Sabre's top line. Neil is probably your next best bet statistically. While Martin has 20+ more hit then the next guy (Ott), you've already point out that he's a one trick pony. Couple that with you already have two other Islanders....pass on Martin.
