Default Berglund + Doughty for EKane + JJ

Keep 6. Points only. No position.
I'm in first place. Want to improve my team now, but keepers too.
Maybe EKane could make the cut as a keeper for me.
He already offered me JJ for my Berglund.
He's also interested in DD.
I would like to add EKane.
What do you think of that deal?
Berglund + Doughty for EKane + JJ
Would EKane be a keeper on my team?
Thank you.

Yup...really like this deal for you. Kane could argueable be kept on your team...he possibly opens up some room to make some additional moves before keepers are set. And J.J. Is starting to heat up. I like this move a lot for you!

Out - Berglund and Doughty
In - Kane and J.J.

11 teams, 6 keepers (+ team)
Points only = 1G 1A 2W 1OTL 2SO
Weekly line-up 1Team 9Forwards 4Dmen 1Goalie
0 FA pickup left for the season
2012-13 roster:
T- Montreal
F- Stamkos, Malkin, Neal, Kane, Elias, Selanne, MKoivu, Wheeler, Parenteau, Huberdeau, Little, Lucic, Kostitsyn, Atkinson, Granlund
D- Yandle, Markov, J.J., Wisniewski, Franson, Goligoski, Nikitin
G- Price, Ward

This is how I see your team shaping up after the trade.

Berglund for you is a definite non-keeper. Not sure what you're opponents roster needs are, but in an 11 team keep 6, I don't see him being kept on ANY roster.

Kane slots in nicely behind Stammer, Malkin and Neal...really taking the place of Elias(I'll come back to him) - the rest can be cut free at the end of the year.
Yandle is really the only TRUE keeper D in a limited keep 6 like this. I don't expect you'd keep any more than that. So Doughty likely would have been lost anyway. But J.J. is back and healthy and out producing Doughty in every CAT that applies to your league. This may not be the case if you included +/-. But depending on your opponents squad, selling high on Doughty's name alone may be enough to increase his value enough to pull off this trade.

Then Price is your go to guy in net hands down.

WHAT I WOULD SUGGEST...(getting back to Elias) is see if you can possibly upgrade once more by perhaps packaging Elias with a Markov (Elias is as consistent and productive as they come and Markov...his value will never by higher while he's healthy...and all it takes is a windy day for him to go down for the year). Reap the benefits of his value now. See if you can even get an upgrade over Kane (as your 4th forward). I doubt those assets will land you a upgrade over Price.

Hell...Aim high and instead of Markov...take a chance and use an Elias and Yandle and see if you can land Karlsson for next year. It's a gamble, but if Markov stays healthy, YOU then reap the benefit of his offensive contribution...and ride the season out on him and surprises Franson and J.J.

What I'm getting at is Elias is one of the most underrated fantasy contributors in the game. You likely won't keep him considering how stacked you are up front, but that doesn't mean you can't convince someone else to keep him.

Let me know how it goes.

Here's his team. He's dead last.
T-Rangers New York
F-Joe Pavelski
Alex Ovechkin
Erik Cole
Ryan Callahan
Alexandre Burrows
Brenden Morrow
Chris Stewart
Cory Conacher
Evander Kane
Vincent Lecavalier
Martin Erat
Travis Zajac
Sean Couturier
T.J. Oshie
D-Dustin Byfuglien
Jack Johnson
Brent Seabrook
Jay Bouwmeester
Duncan Keith
Andy Greene
G-Martin Brodeur
Henrik Lundqvist

Doughty won't make it for Kane.
He listed Parenteau, Koivu, Wheeler and Yandle he would be willing to trade for.
Kane and Johnson (to fill the loss of my Dman) are probably the only players I would target on his team.

Honestly, I've been burn with dmen last couple years... Kept Doughty and Yandle. Trade away Subban for a really late pick...
I don't see enough consistency in dmen to waste keeper slots on them anymore.
I'm planning to keep 5 F and Price.

Impossible!
A gm acquired Karlsson while injured for Tavares. 1 for 1 swap. He won't trade Karlsson back for less than Malkin or Stamkos...

I don't think I can sell Elias or Markov for their full value in my team.
I would need a ppg forward to replace Elias in my lineup right now. No one will do that.
It would take a really good dman to take Markov spot too. Gms are aware of his BAB status...
I would like to cash on the value of Yandle. He doesn't help me win right now.
Yandle for Kane + JJ?
