I joined a pool on a whim and know absolutely nothing about college b-ball or any b-ball for that matter. Anyway just wanted to see if anyone has any "sleepers" or suggestions or just any tourney discussion in general.

16 never beats 1 - ever. 15 rarely beats 2. Nothing else anyone can say really matters because this tournament is always wild. I think there are like over a trillion different possible outcomes total or something like that, which means your odds of being perfect are very close to nil. Even the experts go like 70% at best.

If you really want to spend some time on this then I'd suggest checking out www.kenpom.com which is a site that tracks and ranks all the college basketball teams and stats. Since college teams play drastically different schedules they attempt to balance that all out as well. Of course, even picking based on favourites through this manner will only get you so far because of sample sizes. Anyone can win when you play just one game to move on and really how much information can you really draw when college basketball teams only play about 30 games in a year anyhow.

My advice is to not sweat this but do absolutely DO try to watch as many games as possible. There's not much more exciting than following the first weekend of March Madness. So many meaningful games going on at once. And with this field being as wide open as ever there will surely be some insane upsets.

I might have a go at filling out another Yahoo bracket this year even though I've been only casually following it. As much as I'd love my Orange to have a run especially after a nice Big East tourney, I wouldn't be surprised if they got knocked out early given their inconsistency this season. You just never know with them.

Pretty much guessed while making a few upsets. I ended up with:

Louisville vs Kansas St
Georgetown vs Indiana

Georgetown 66 Louisville 61

Joining a few of these again.....nooooooooo clue who anyone is or who to take. Will likely be excited for the first few days but then realize I suck and lose interest.

CAN'T WAIT

I always enter the ESPN pools (for the big prize) and I always pick the most unpicked #3 or #4 seeds.

Essentially, if my two teams meet - I don't want anybody else with that same match-up.
So... I've got Kansas St vs. Marquette.

I just joined the TSN tourney but like most I have no clue on who to take. I normally just go to SI.com and check out their expert brackets, pick one guys and copy his.

Surely he has a better idea then I do.

For the record my final four looks like this:

Louisville vs New Mexico
Kansas vs Miami (fl)

I have Louisville beating Miami 69-67

Time will tell if I am tweeting this guy a happy tweet and thanks or a cranky one and calling him a dumbass.
