While the reading remains day-to-day, we now know that Ryane Clowe is dealing with a shoulder injury.
It's a been a rough season for the power forward, who hasn't scored a goal in 25 games and narrowly avoided a major suspension when he only sat out two games. It's hard not to wonder if his days are numbered with the San Jose Sharks. Source: Kevin Kurz on Twitter Mar 17 - 5:42 PM

He's the new Chris Stewart...showed promise/production early on, but last couple of years have been brutal slogs with few positives...might need to be traded ala JVR before he can shine again

Ryane Clowe (shoulder) is not projected to play Saturday, but he should be ready to return on Monday night in Anaheim.
"He looked a lot better today," coach Todd McLellan said Friday after Clowe took part in a rigorous workout. "He was involved a lot more physically, which is always a good sign with that type of injury." His name has been the subject of trade rumors, but he would like to stay with the Sharks and re-sign with them in the off-season. Clowe has no goals and nine assists, with 72 penalty minutes, in 25 games this season. Source: San Jose Mercury News Mar 22 - 6:10 PM

I just think he's not going to be productive at all for the rest of the season. We know how it goes with these shoulder injuries. They can make a guy completely ineffective. Can't shoot as well. Grinding in the corners and in front becomes that much tougher. For a guy like Clowe he needs every advantage he can get. Normally I'd say buy low on this guy but for this season I don't think a trade could even rescue his season.
