Need to make room for Lupul. I'll be dropping a Defencemen, question is who? I'm not looking long term, this is all about this year:

Josi, Kindl, Bieksa or EJ

Johnson has looked pretty good since returning from his injury. For me it comes down to Kindl or Josi.

I've never owned Kindl but Josi frustrated the hell out of me this season. I dropped him, then he put up a 4-point night. He has 9-points in 28 games this season, but in reality, those 9 points were actually scored in 5 games. Which means he has 23 games where he has been held off the score sheet. I would cut Josi.

Among those 4, this year only, Josi would also be the one I'd cut. For me, it also comes down to Josi or Kindl. Neither of those players are being relied upon on your team for PP production (given your other Dmen), so I'd go with Kindl who has just been more consistent this season, is on the better team, gets slightly more PIMs, and is less likely to complete destroy your +/- on any given evening.

I agree with the other posters, for much of the same reasons. Josi is the best guy to drop.

I was all set to drop Josi but since the Leafs weren't playing yesterday or today decided to wait a day before dropping Josi and activating Lupul off IR. So then Josi pots a goal, puts up an assist and 3 shots on goal. Now what?? His numbers over the last 7 days are better than Kindl's, Bieksa and Johnson. I think maybe he's starting to turn things around?? I may have to look at other drop options?? Nothin's every easy!!

It's a small sample size though. He also has more points in the past week than Crosby Stamkos. If you think he's turning it around, then you should keep him. But just remember you're looking at a one-week sample. He also got his points against the oilers and the flames, not exactly the top teams defensively.
