Crosby for Howard+Sharp

For the second team in the sig. This trade was offered to me. I'm hurting in goalie cats and currently sitting in last place. Is this worth it or should I try and get his Kunitz instead of Sharp?

No no no. Keep Crosby unless you're getting an elite goalie plus a top forward back. Also, Sharp is injured - poor offer. I wouldn't even counter.

He also has Rinne and Quick but they haven't exactly been playing elite

My point is that, even though you're in last, don't make a desperate move that could keep you there. Getting rid of Crosby in an 8 team league without getting top players in return would be damaging.

Do you have a shot at the playoffs?

I'm 4 points out but losing 4-8 this week against the 6th place team. I just picked up Neimi for Ward so hopefully he will boost me a bit but I'm just getting hosed each week. Meanwhile in my other league I am handing out the hosing. Frustrating.

Is it just me or are you missing that this is a 1 year league? I would take howard and kunitz for crosby....why the hell not? kunitz is in on every single crosby point. This isn't a keeper league. Dooooo it but not for sharp.

There is ONLY 3 weeks left of your reg season probably....

Not missing it at all. It's an 8 team league where there are probably decent talent available in FA. He also just picked up Niemi from FA. Why would he need to trade for Howard? Kunitz has been great but not worth buying high on him for what he'd be giving up. I'd rather him use the FA to his advantage and drop slumping guys for guys that would help him win categories on a weekly basis. You don't give up your best player for a (possible) overachieving winger (sure the line helps) and a goalie whose value can be acquired on FA.

i would not do this trade. i would however look at trading crosby but would want much more in return.

I would say no to this deal. You are not getting enough back in return.
