Default Anyone move Miller for Quick straight up?

I went after Quick a few weeks ago with my Miller/Getzlaf for his Quick/Hartnell. But he didn't want to move his top-two picks "so soon" into the season.

Well. Miller's play seems to be coming around, though Buffalo's D is still the most porous in the league for shots against. He's got more wins, better sv%, and only .2 lower GAA.

The Kings seem to be starting to pot some goals though so maybe the wins will start rolling in? Also, Bernier is out there in FA so if I had Quick I could potentially handcuff him.

Is Miller worth trying to shop now while he's on an 'upswing'? Or is it not just a mirage and he'll be better than Quick rest of the way?

I would take Quick in a heartbeat. Way better team, I would argue Quick is more skilled as well, plus Sutters system may not have a lot of goals for but once the team gets in form again (which is quickly happening) the goals against should be minimal.

One for one swap? I'd take Quick.

Default Smith or Backstrom?

Thanks guys, I've sent the offer and awaiting reply.

If he doesn't go for it, would you trade Miller for either Smith or Backstrom straight-up? Those are his other two goalies.

Any opinions of moving Miller for Smith or Backstrom straight-up?

The guy hasn't responded to the offer of Miller for Quick yet, which leads me to believe it will inevitably be declined...

Kipper comes off IR tonight so I'm gonna have to make some kind of moves soon

I would consider dropping Visnovsky or Faulk until you figure out a better drop.
If you go a defenseman short for a while, it's not the end of the world.
But you don't want to drop a good forward or goalie just to make room for Kipper.
