Miller/Getzlaf/Voracek for Rinne/Krejci/Franzen

Which side would you prefer? I have the former, thinking about offering it for the latter.

I need the goalie help, he's short offensively (low in Goals, Assists, PPP, SOG).


Is this fair? Am I offering too much? Voracek's making me doubt myself for doubting him, plus I just lost Kesler to IR so I may need to move Benn to Center and restructure my wings.

Any help much appreciated.

Even though Rinne is a big improvement over Miller, you'd be giving up a lot of offensive talent. I think I'd prefer a two person trade maybe getzlaf/miller for franzen/rinne if he'd go for that.

Thanks guys, I figured the price tag for Rinne would be really high, but I guess not that high. I sent an offer of Miller/Getzlaf for Rinne/Franzen so we'll see how that goes.
His third goalie is Theodore, who got hurt tonight, so hopefully that doesn't dissuade him from moving Rinne. He still has Niemi with stellar GAA and Sv%.

Is it really just a small upgrade from Miller to Rinne? Their sv% and wins are nearly identical, but Rinne's GAA and shutout potential is much better I think. Miller and Buffalo won 3 straight now, but they're still giving up way too many shots for my liking.


If he doesn't go for it, does anyone see another potential deal between my team and his (see original post)? Or perhaps target another top goalie that will provide me with some consistency?

So the guy rejected my offer of Getzlaf/Miller for Franzen/Rinne (despite my pretty thorough explanation as to why it would make sense for both teams - he is dead last in G and A, but 3rd in GAA and Sv%, and I have G and A to spare, but need help in all goalie cats).


He countered with his Niemi/Hemsky for my Miller/Semin. And provided no comments along with it.

So many things wrong with this in my eyes, but my question for you guys:

Is Niemi worth pursuing instead of Rinne? Or is he not much of an upgrade over Miller for the rest of the season? If so, which LW do I target to replace Semin? (see Original post for his roster)

Or do I say screw this guy and go look elsewhere for a sensible GM interested in mutually-beneficial deals?

I don't think you are going to find a favorable trade involving Miller. Due to the Sabre's performance, his perceived value has taken a huge hit even though Miller continues to play solid hockey. He has the same number of wins as Rinne and Niemi and I don't think the upgrade in GAA is worth dumping Getzlaf or Semin. If he'll do Fasth + Semin or Getzlaf for Rinne or Niemi, I'd do it, just try to get him to do better than Hemsky.

I'd also see if there's any way to get Backstrom or Holtby (though the window on Holtby may be closing), as they should be relatively inexpensive and high quality options.

Thanks for the advice! The Backstrom owner also has Quick and Smith, so I could perhaps pry one of those three away. Worth moving Miller, or offer Fasth instead?

Also, the Holtby owner owns Lundqvist as well. I tried for him (Lundy) a while ago but Holtby was sucking, maybe now that he's finding his game he'd be willing to move one of the two.
