I swear Goli & Ehrhoff went to the same training school. Ehrhoff sat games in the stands when he was 27 years old too.
Ehrhoff 24:41 TOI 3:39 PP TOI 2:01 SH TOI (shows he's maturing) GP 19 G 2 A 8 +3 PM 12 SOG 42 PPP 3 Hits 15 Blk 35 Goli 21:44 TOI 3:06 PP TOI 1:20 SH TOI GP 19 G 0 A 9 -1 PM 6 SOG 36 Hits 14 Blk 22 Ehrhoff represents greater security at this point. He's as safe as most anyone out there to mark 1/2 a point a game beside his name. Of course, some wonder if he'll splash upwards to that 50 point pace. He seems to have managed to get a few of the defensive wiggles out of his game in the past few years. Enough that Buffalo decided it was prudent to give him the moon, at UFA time. Opportunity in Buffalo is excellent, for him to continue to be successful. Goli still has those defensive wiggles to work out. He has a decent contract, and Dallas has few other PP options. He'll continue to get his chances. Essentially, he seems on a similar career path to Ehrhoff. However, one might argue that MA Bergeron was also on a similar career path at one point in time. Hoping for a similar 40 point pace (80 games) and wondering about something higher in a career year, is reasonable. Clearly the safer option is Ehrhoff. (he is crushed in salary cap pools). One might hope that Goli settles down, but it's getting pretty late in the process to think he becomes a safe option in his own zone. At the moment Ehrhoff appears a bit ahead in the extended CATS pools. Particularly shot blocking. Most everything else is quite close.
