Default Backstrom(G)/Boyle for Subban/Elliott

Morning all,

So I currently have a huge rotation of players on the IR (8) and am stuck in the middle of our rankings, so I am debating moving some of my older guys for younger ones hence the targeting of Subban. Two things to note before evaluating the trade.

1) He just put Elliott on the trading block and is looking for all goalie stats basically which is why I would be sending a goalie back. Am I crazy about Elliott and think he will turn it around, no not really.
2) He has Boyle on his "wish list" so may pay more for him than the average owner.

For the league in my signature which side would you rather and why?

Team A gets
Backstrom(G)/Boyle (D)

Team B gets
Subban (D)/Elliott (G)

Thanks,
Drift

Considering that you've got Rinne, Miller, and Niemi letting go of Backstrom and getting Elliott is very reasonable, especially considering the upgrade you get from Boyle to Subban. Subban for Boyle this year might not be a huge upgrade, but Boyle will start to slow down sooner or later, and that's when Subban will be in his prime. I would definitely do this if I were you.

I'm not sure if it's the smartest move for him to be making - he could get more for Subban - but if he's desperate for a goalie he might go for it. I doubt very much that he was thinking about paying for Boyle with Subban when he put Boyle on his wish list, though. I'd offer it and see what he says.

Pretty much my thoughts as well. I am trying to leverage his need for goalie and fondness for Boyle into overpaying ha. I wouldn't do it but maybe he will.
