Fasth or Markstrom
Team in sig.
I've been offered Markstrom and Scott Laughton for Fasth, a 3rd rounder in 2013 and a 2nd rounder in 2014. I like this because with the three goalies I have now, I have no need for an immediate impact like Fasth, and Markstrom is a higher quality prospect, however are the picks included too much? Bogosian was just traded for a 2nd as was Turris to give you value on the picks.

I'd make that trade. I don't know how much I trust Andy or Bryz long term, so I'm not 100% sold on your goalies going forward. Plus, Markstrom is top level in terms of ceiling.

Fasth is already in the NHL putting up amazing numbers. He just signed a 2 year deal and is obviously in the mix to be a starter or 1A/1B. Markstrom is still a prospect and even if he pans out and becomes the FLA starter the problem is he is still in FLA. I don't think this is a terrible deal by any means but I think countering with those picks removed is certainly more then reasonable.

I think the safer play is to keep Fasth. Markstrom may or may not live up to his potential.

Ah, fantasy hockey can be so fickle. Before the season started, Markstrom would have been the easy choice. Fast-forward just over a month later, and it'd be hard not to take Fasth for the reasons already stated in this thread. Sometimes you pick a top goalie prospect and wait on him forever and sometimes you get lucky with someone like Fasth.
