Pietrangelo for Markstrom/1st
I've been trying to land Pietrangelo ever since Karlsson went down. The other owner is in full-blown rebuild mode and asked for Markstrom and my 1st round prospect pick. I'm currently 4-1 and stand a good chance to go pretty deep in the play-offs, so Pietrangelo would be a great guy to add.
My defense is: Karlsson, Carlson, Keith, Subban, Carle, Ehrhoff, Seidenberg, Robidas My goalies are: Ward, Bryzgalov, Backstrom, Crawford, Elliott, (with Holtby and Markstrom on the farm) We count G, A, P, +/-, SOG, PPP, hits, Blks, FOW, and the usual goalie cats. It's a 10 team league with 4 C, 4 LW, 4 RW, 1 F, 6 D, 2 G and 5 bench, with 10 prospect spots. Is my defense deep enough already for this kind of league or should I add another piece? Is that a good stand alone deal for Pietrangelo? Rep for everyone!

I'm not sure what a 1st round pick can get you but I would definitely do this move. No D is too deep not to add Pietrangelo, he's a top 5 D.
Considering you only start 2, I think you have good enough goalies that Markstrom becomes a tradable player on your team.

Your mindset here is wrong. You don't have to look at your team to see that this is an outstanding trade for you. Pietrangelo is both a "win now" and future guy and one of the best players to own, period.

I'd make that trade. Your defense is rather deep, but you can always make room for a guy like Pietrangelo, which would give you just an uber-nasty set of blueliners.
Markstrom is a great guy to have, but I think your goaltending can withstand the hit. And a 1st round prospect pick is nice, but it is a prospect and if losing that pick helps you take a run at it this year (which it would) then I'd do it (and if your team has a chance at going deep, we're likely talking about a lower prospect pick in any event). In a keeper I would be moving first round picks all day for Peitrangelo. He is a stud and will be the best D on your team (Until Karlsson comes back)
You're goalie depth is great too so losing Markstrom won't affect your ability to compete for the next few years.
