Default Hall for Backstrom(Wash), or Hall+Doughty for Backstrom (Wash)+Bobby Ryan

Cats are G,A,P,+/-,PIM,PPP,SOG

1 year Rotisserie 9 teams with 15 man rosters.

I get Backstrom, not really sold on this but could be convinced maybe.

He also offered me Backstrom and Ryan for Hall and Doughty which I like alot better but still thinking about it.

Not sure how your roster looks, but I like the idea of trading for Backstrom. Getting both Backstrom and Ryan should be the better side of the deal. I value Doughty pretty high still as a D even in a one man league, but I'd swap him out for a valuable forward in Ryan, and to me that is more than enough added incentive to make the Hall for Backstrom swap.

Backstrom and Ryan should combine for greater help then the duo of Hall and Doughty.

I really like just Hall for Backstrom.
IMO any of the EDM forwards can step in and take the rein, and I suspect Eberle is gonna overshadow Hall soon. Backstrom on the other hand, has been underperforming, but as of recent has been on a little run. Probably because Ovie is getting back on it.

IMO having a great D is better than a pretty good winger because hot wingers appear from time to time and coaches like rolling hot players on PP.
Take Voracek, Laviolette barely played him at the beginning of the year (he was 2nd/3rd line), he had a decent pedigree, yes, but after one hot game, he's playing with Giroux and Hartnell on the top line and getting PP1 minutes. He's talented, but then again, many wingers are. So you can just pick them up.
Unfortunately, D-man need a LOT of trust from their coaches (see: Tortorella) and usually a pretty high pedigree just to be given the chance to be the on the PP1 and get offensive zone EV time. Even then, it's not a lock. Consistency is also difficult to maintain even with all these requirements met.
Wideman, Visnovsky.. I have them and they get top minutes, they're O d-man for god's sakes, and they get 1 point every two games.
