Team advice - Need dman
Hi guys,
I need your expert advice. Recently lost Karlsson, had to replace him with Beauchemin and had picked up Kesler as a potential asset. Eriksson recently just got dropped and I picked him up with my #2 priority on the WW. Clearly I need to drop someone or make a deal to shore up my Dmen. I’ve been trying to dangle Kesler or Backstrom around for some Dmen with no luck. Q1: If you guys had to drop someone from my roster who would it be? (Right now I’m thinking Kesler or Ennis) I definitely don’t need a center as most of my players have dual eligibility. I was thinking of picking up Beauchemin again assuming no one claims him or one of the following D: Pitkanen (think he’s coming back soon) J. Carlson N. Leddy J. Wizniewski J. Bouwmeester Zidlicky Q2: I’d like to avoid dropping someone and would definitely be interested in moving Backstrom or Kesler. Any ideas of players to target? (I know.. difficult question to ask without detailed information on my league.. but any idea helps) Categories are G,A,+/-,PIM,PPP,SOG. My weakest cats are Goals and PPP. Roster: C N. I would be comfortable dropping ennis, kesler is just shaking off cobwebs right now, wait on him.
as for the players to target, kinda hard to give advice on that. I'd target the bottom dwelling teams in your league. Maybe offer up Backstrom, Ennis and Ehrhoff for one good player and one struggling player. Usually works out great and the struggling owner will look at the offer as getting rid of his struggling player and gaining Backstrom. who in himself is struggling on a mediocre Washington team. hope that helps

If you are weak on SOG and PPP, the guy to pick up on defense is Zidlicky. He takes quite a good amount of shots from the d-man position and is usually on the top PP unit with Elias, Clarkson, Kovalchuk.
I think I would drop Briere.
