I think it's the other way around...
Galchenyuk will be very good but finding a D with the potential AND opportunity like Schultz has is very rare so if you have a chance to swap them straight up you have to do it IMO.

Your D is pretty weak but your forwards are too. I would rather have a star forward than a star dman. Keep Galchenyuk.

Wow, I've never seen a couple of those stat categories. But with PPTOI as a stand alone category, that would seem to weigh heavily in favor of Schultz being the more valuable player here.
No slight to Galchenyuk intended, but it seems that neither are likely to be big contributors in hits, both should be prime offensive options at their positions, but it's the anchor PP QB D-men or the few forwards who play an inordinate amount of PP time (guys like Kovy, for example) whose normally high value can be bloated even higher in your league. I also find that it's typically easier to find a point-producing centerman than a cornerstone offensive D-man (note: in the interest of full disclosure, I've never participated in anything near a 30 team league, but I'd have to assume that makes it even more difficult to land potential franchise offensive minded D-men). Now, your forward group could definitely use a boost moving forward, but Bergeron, Hanzal and Burmistrov is a solid start at center for what I assume is a rebuilding mode. Even if you move Galchenyuk here, adding a guy like Justin Schultz to your blueline changes the entire complexion of your team for the better in my opinion. So I'd gladly take this deal and then focus on some forwards as the next part of the re-tooling. Cheers.

I'll toss another vote Schultz's way though longgg term Galch is probably the better option.

Your team needs some help in a lot of places but its probably a lot tougher to find a high end talent on the backend then it is up front. I would think you should be able to quickly replace Galchenyuk in this years draft (im assuming you have a good 1st round pick) but I dont see many Justin Schultz's coming down the pipe anytime soon.
I'd trade Galchenyuk for JSchultz for those reasons alone.

I am currently still exploring options on what I could get for Galchenyuk. Here are a couple of the proposals I've received. Which, if any, should I make?
Z Bogosian, 1st round pick (likely 10-20 overall), Phil Di Guiseppe for Galchenyuk Keith Yandle for Galchenyuk Justin Schultz for Alex Galchenyuk Jeff Carter, Nick Leddy, Henrik Samuelsson for Galchenyuk, 3rd round pick Cody Franson, Joel Armia for Galchenyuk My Roster: C: P Bergeron, M Hanzal, A Burmistrov, A Desjardins, LW: L Couture, M Grabner, P Mueller, D Carcillo, M Olver RW: A Hemsky, Ju Williams, D Dorsett, P Kaleta, D: B Burns, J Boychuk, N Schultz, K Russell, M Fistric, C Stoner, J Braun, C Tanev Prospects: C: A Galchenyuk, J Welsh, T Ewanyk, K Roy LW: Nick Shore RW: Reilly Smith, J Hansen D: H Lindholm, A Petrovic, T Fedun, T Cross, K Bigos, B Kichton, P Sieloff, S Gostisbehere |
