Default 10 Man League Advice Needed - will rep....

10 Man H2H one year in my signature.

I am currently in 2nd place in this league (1 point behind 1st and 1 point ahead of 3rd).

Been looking at the categories I am always winning and never winning and trying to figure out how to capitalize. Bear with me if you can, this is my record in these categories this season.

G: 2-2-1
A: 0-4-1 (ouch)
+/-: 1-4-0 (also ouch)
pim: 4-1-0
ppg: 2-3-0
ppp: 2-3-0
sog: 2-3-0
hit: 4-1-0

w: 3-0-2
gaa: 5-0-0
sv%: 5-0-0
sho: 1-1-3

With the forward, winger and utility option in this league I am contemplating dropping one of my D for someone who could potentially help me in categories where they are not. Which D would you drop based on my categories? Would beauchemin, franson, salo or diaz be upgrades on the remaining 3 D if I went this route? If not would you make a switch anyway?

I could pick up someone like Brouwer or Neil who take shots, hit people, get pim (neil more than brouwer) (however, brouwer has 8ppp but -5 which doesnt help my shitty +/-). Picking up Neil would probably guarantee I continue to win sog/pim/hit every week but still no further ahead in categories I suck at.

Could use any advice at this point.

Available FA's in my league:
Brouwer, Neil (as mentioned above)
Conacher
Prust
Clowe
Huberdeau
Stempniak
Mcginn
Mcdonald
Doan
Boyes
Hemsky
Berglund
Yakupov
Hodgson
Michalek (IR) (Could practice before thursday according to yahoo)
Spezza (IR) (Skated today)

Appreciate you reading this thread and any advice, will def give rep - thanks guys!

Before I can help you I'd have to know if it's a keeper or a one year league. This would affect my decision about a possible callup big time.

What I can already say though: I'd try to do something about the bad A record, but I usually don't care about +/- as it's too much of a random cat. Of course you could roughly tell that guys from good teams are better there than the ones from lesser teams, but it's still beyond control in weekly H2H leagues. In one week the dice falls your way, in another it doesn't. You've just had bad luck in four consecutive weeks. Try focus on cats that are easier to predict like Pims, Hits and SOG.
I've always neglected +/-, it's just one of many cats after all. Actually you can make a virtue out of it. Collect good players that usually have bad +/- as they're cheaper to get. Prime example: Mark Streit. You'll lose +/- more often than not with a team like mine (see signature), but you'll win most other cats in return and if you still win +/- once, take it as a bonus... It works, believe me.

Del Zotto has been useless. If you're going to drop anyone, it's him.
But..Dorsett is obviously there for PIM purposes. Can you get rid of him and still win PIM?
+/- and A-wise...Conacher or a Sens player might be your best pick. Michalek possibly, and he can get a lot of A's.
If you ever have trouble with SOG, I like Mcginn.

I would probably drop dorsett for Neil (huge hit/pim/sog) so that I can just keep winning those categories but dont know if I can add just one player to help in assists assuming I dropped MDZ for a forward or something.

Any other advice on this team?
