Fowler's upside and when will he get there?

Hey just wondering what your thoughts are on Fowler?

I am desperate for Dmen and a fellow Gm has offered Fowler for B. Schenn.

I am flush with Fwds which makes Schenn somewhat expendable but is this still an overpayment for Fowler?

Yes- don't do it. Fowler has definite upside, but has not been the same since his rookie year, and B Schenn is the better fantasy own right now. If you are going to do this deal, get him to give you a pick upgrade or an upgrade at another position, but not straight up.
