Rich Chere @Ledger_NJDevils Brodeur said his back has been sore last few days but he hoped to play through it We aren't getting anything like the full story here. Take your time guys(Devils/Brodeur) and make sure your all on the same page. Multiple sources saying the same thing as Chere about it being a back issue.

New Jersey Devils place G Martin Brodeur (back) on injured reserve. The move is retroactive to Sunday, meaning the earliest Brodeur can return is March 4 against the Maple Leafs. The Devils are expected to add G Keith Kincaid to the active roster to fill Brodeur's roster spot and Johan Hedberg will likely get the start Thursday in Winnipeg.
