Attempting to replace Malkin

I'm sure there will be a ton of these threads popping up shortly since it sounds like he has a concussion and will be out for a while...

I can move some of my wingers up to C since they have C/W eligibility so I'm looking for any forward who can help. Who would you rather grab in FA given my league only considers G and A: Pacioretty, Krecji, Wheeler, Simmonds, Briere, Gagner, B. Schenn or M. Koivu?

Brayden Schenn would be the hot pick right now. The safe bet would be M. Koivu, but his line has not been producing as most thought they could be.

Pacioretty is a good bet also.

To break things down in a points only league :
Gagner: 5G 12A - 17P in 17 games
Schenn: 6G 11A - 17P in 19 games
Simmonds: 7G 8A - 15P in 17 games
Wheeler: 6G 8A - 14P in 17 games
Pacioretty: 4G 9A - 13P in 14 games
Krejci: 4G 8A - 12P in 14 games
Koivu: 3G 9A - 12P in 17 games
Brière: 5G 6A - 11P in 16 games

So far, in that list, Gagne is the only PPG player.
Close are Pacioretty, Simmonds, Krejci and Schenn.

Out of those, the one who has the less games played is Krejci (Bruins played significantly less games than most teams). So that's an advantage that could be exploited.

Pacioretty, who was a 33G 32A last year, had just begun scoring goals, so we could see a points increase there.

As mentionned before, Schenn is also hot at the moment, with 6P in his las 4 contests.

In the end, I would go with Pacioretty, because I am a fan. However, going with either one of Pacioretty, Krejci, Schenn or Gagne all seem like good options.

I'm leaving Simmonds out because I believe that he is too much valuable as an energy player and that his production could suffer in the long run.
