SHP - Advice on players to acquire
I'm currently in a roto style (11 team) keepers league. We keep 4 every year and I'm currently battling for first. I am sitting in 3rd right now and SHP is really killing me as I don't even have 1 yet. I have some decent players for SHP in Hossa and Koivu (recently acquired) but I won't be able to catch first without a boost in this category. Any advice on guys I should target?? Thoughts? I maybe able to snag Kopitar who is also notorious for SHP in the trade below:
MY: Backstrom for Kopitar + 3rd round pick. I personally think Kopitar will keep pace with Backstrom this year and provide the SHP edge that I need. Furthermore, I don't plan on keeping Backstrom as I would like to keep Benn instead. I can flip the 3rd into something else as well, thoughts? Any other players good for SHP please list!! I would say Mike Richards, Benn, both J and E Staal, Giroux, NJD players (Kovy, Elias, Henrique), Backes.
SHP is hard to gauge but I would say those guys are good bets to get you some SHP. Try using this tool too and play around with it to see which players are consistently in the top line for SH play. http://www.leftwinglock.com/line-combos/

Tomas Plekanec Loui Eriksson Those are three names just off the top of my head who are excellent two way players who perform both on the PP and get a lot of exposure to killing penalties.

Mike Richards, Marian Hossa, Daniel Alfredsson, Alexandre Burrows, Patrick Sharp and Rick Nash are usually good bets for SHP, but it's pretty hard to predict.

Look at NHL.com time on ice logs and see who is logging time per game. You are looking for guys that at least get exposure on the PK.
