I wanted McDonagh really badly last year, but the guy would not trade him.
He just offered him to me for Andy Greene... I drafted Greene as a non-keeper this year in the 8th round out of 10, had no plans to keep him. League Info: Greene has been a nice surprise as a sixth d man, as in my points only league below, only top six count. Doughty and Faulk are currently not counting due to injuries and slow start. So my decision is based on these points: Heard a rumor that Rangers were trying for O'Reilly, and Del Zotto was going the other way? -If so, where does that leave McDonagh on the depth charts? He seems to become more of a 2-way player like Faulk.. I am currently in fourth place, and the third place guy had Karlsson. I predicted the basement this year due to inexperience, but made a couple trades for Rinne and Ovechkin, and feel like I could actually place. -Does Greene outpoint McDonagh, or does he catch up, regardless of whether Del Zotto is traded? Third place this year is worth 500.00, so I want to make sure I make the right decision, now and for the future.... Help me out!!!

i honestly dont see the rangers trading for oreilly
mcdonagh has pretty good offensive upside however he is not going to be allowed to explore it until he is done growing his defensive game maybe if sauer was healthy things would be different but the rangers need mcdonagh to play nothing but a defensive role girardi and staal are the ones being given the extra offensive opportunities that the team has so in the short term mcdonagh doesnt have a whole lot of offensive upside |
