Have two owners interested in my goalies. One team has Fleury, Vokoun, and Scrivens, is desperate for Price, and willing to move his stud skaters: Neal, Kovy, Gaborik, Weber, Elias, and Callahan. Other team has Quick, Howard, and Fasth, wants to nab Rask, and is open to moving E. Staal or M. Koivu, plus sending back a goalie (his other skaters are either untouchable or WW fodder). What do you guys think of these as offers:
Give: Price + Steen Get: Neal + Callahan OR Weber Give: Price + Steen Get: Kovy OR Gabork + Elias Give: Rask + Steen + Brown Get: Quick + E. Staal + Hornqvist (would dump) Give: Rask + Pouliot (or some other sell high replacement level F for balance) Get: Quick + M. Koivu For reference, top 5 goalies in our league get 400-450 pts over a full-length season and top 10 forwards get around 300 points. League and team info are in signature. Thanks.

Of these, I like the Neal + Weber the best. I mean, think about that at the beginning of the year, you may have drafted either of those guys over Price. I know that doesn't mean anything now, but Neal and Malkin are bound to start scoring 5 on 5, and Weber is finally coming around. There is solid value here.
I also like the trade with Pouliot, but I'm high on J.Quick for the rest of the year, and don't know that the majority of fantasy players would agree right now.

id consider the last trade.
i dont like when a team has ''untouchables'' but is asking for a specific guy on your team. im assuming by 'offers' you meant they offered you. if you want my best goalie then there are no untouchables. you should be going after his 'untouchables' for rask/plus..........why does he have to get the best player in the deal? just a little rant..sorry.

there is no way i would be trading price personally
probably not rask either luongo will not get enough starts to be valuable under your scoring and kipper will not get enough wins price is 3rd among goalies in the league currently under your scoring |

Yeah I'm not sure any of those deals are quite worth it. Both Price and Rask are still young but both have considerable talent (not just sitting on a strong team like some goalies). I do like Neal and Weber, but you're cutting your goalie depth pretty hard in that situation.
For reference, I also have Price and Rask in a very similar scoring league, so this is a scenario I've played out many times. I would personally look to make a more conservative trade with Luongo unless you can get another solid player added on to one of the previous offers. I made a similar move by shipping Lehtonen last season, preferring to stay younger for the long term, though Price and Rask seem to be hitting their stride anyway now.

I don't think I'd make any of the deals provided in your league scoring. I like Price + Steen for Neal + Weber the best and I'd jump at it in a categories league but here I don't think it's worth it.
You point out that top level goalies score around 400-450 points while top forwards score 300. Comparing Price to Neal I'd say they're probably relatively the same at their position with an edge to Price. That means you're giving up 100-150 points in swapping Price for Neal a number I don't think you can make that up by going from Weber or Callahan to Steen. Simply put with your scoring format I would rarely trade a starting goalie without getting one back in return.

If goalies give you that many more points, I dont think its worth giving up Price or Rask. The only trade I'd think about then is the last one, and that would be assuming Quick and the Kings can turn it around quickly. Koivu > Pouliot but the amount of points you'd lose from Price > Quick at this point is probably too much.

Thanks for all the replies. Great advice. Will send out rep.
Like the diea of floating Luongo for some help at forward. Only began considering this sort of trade with Skinner's "upper body injury" (now concussion).
