Points only keeper league, no positional requirements.
Both have had slow starts, but are capable of being 60-70pt players. Have heard some rumors Havlat may be traded, not sure of destinations or impact that would have. Thoughts on which forward to go with over the next 1-2 years. Thanks in advance and rep will be distributed. Cheers.

Definitely go with Carter. Havlat right now is skating with the 4th line while Carter is getting prime opportunities with LA. And as someone who just watched the Sharks and Kings play, Carter was more of a focal point of his offense. And with Havlat's 5 M salary, who would be the possible suitors? I've been a Havlat fan for a while and I have no problem saying that Carter is the much better option.

Carter for me as well. He might not be the Carter of old, but at least he doesn't come with a greater than 50/50 shot of ending up on the trainer's table for an extended period like Havlat.

Carter is the easy choice here, he's on the number one power play unit and looks like he's really getting comfortable with the Kings.

Carter for me. Almost 4 years younger, has the better opportunity, historically more durable.
Both players have 3 60+point seasons but Carter has accomplished that in 4 less seasons. |

Both are disappointing schmucks.
I'd say Havlat, skill-wise, has higher point upside. But it's been awhile since he's been the player he once was. Carter is more of a goal-scorer than a high point-scorer. I'd probably go Carter just because he plays a larger role on his team. |

Definitely Carter. I don't think I can give one reason to justify taking Havalt. With Carter he's a more important member of his team, he's a safer option for points, has a higher ceiling for points, also is less of an injury concern than Havalt, and I doubt that changes next season. Everything favours Carter.
